WHSE Manager

About the role

The WHSE Manager leads the development, implementation, and monitoring of WHSE programs. This hands-on role ensures compliance, minimises risk, and fosters a strong safety culture across all sites and operational activities. Responsibilities include:

• Develop, implement, and oversee WHSE programs and policies tailored to high-risk launch operations.
• Ensure compliance with WHSE legislation, regulations, and internal standards.
• Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Lead incident investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Deliver WHSE training, inductions, and awareness initiatives for staff and contractors.
• Monitor and report on WHSE performance, promoting continuous improvement.
• Support operational teams with WHSE guidance during launch campaigns and site activities.

About you

• WHSE certifications or operational qualifications are highly desirable.
• Proven experience in WHSE leadership within high-risk or complex operational environments, ideally aerospace, defence, or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of WHSE regulations and best practice.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and training skills.
• Experienced in risk assessment, incident management, and fostering a safety-focused culture.

This position requires you to hold and maintain a valid Australian Defence Security Clearance.
