Senior Electrical and Electronics Engineer

Reports to: Electronics Team Leader

Location: Inovor’s Headquarters, Lot Fourteen, Adelaide.

Hours of work: Full time, 38 hours per week (negotiable)

Remuneration: Negotiable based on experience. You may include your salary expectations in the application.

Citizenship: Due to defence security clearance requirements, only Australian citizens are eligible to apply.

Position Broad Purpose

We are seeking people for multiple Senior Electrical and Electronic Engineering roles to join our dynamic satellite technologies team. If you are interested in collaborating and working with some of Australia’s brightest engineers and scientists, here’s your opportunity!

You will be responsible for:

  • Design and verification of new satellite and ground system hardware
  • Managing and implementing change across a range of existing hardware.
  • Continuous improvement of people, process and tools.
  • Reporting Relationships and Key Stakeholders

This position reports to the Electronics Team Leader.

The position will work closely with our muti-disciplinary technical team, manufacturing team and project management group.

Criteria – Essential

We are seeking talented and motivated electronics engineers who have:

  1. Bachelor’s, Masters or PHD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
  2. Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following, the more the better: system design, schematic capture, PCB layout, circuit modelling and simulation, hands-on prototyping, and implementation of complex electronic systems.
  3. Demonstrated experience in preparing and communicating technical information such as design specifications, design verification plans and reports, test plans and procedures, and engineering analysis.
  4. Competence using version control systems such GIT, SVN etc.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Criteria – Desirable

Knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:

  1. Design for reliability (DFR) principles and techniques, including DFMEA, component derating, worst case analysis, fault tree analysis, redundancy, fault tolerance, thermal management and accelerated life testing.
  2. Analysis and implementation of functional safety standards in embedded systems, such as IEC 61508 or ISO 26262.
  3. Radiation effects on electronics, component up screening process, test planning and execution, data analysis and reporting, modelling and simulation of space environments.
  4. Power electronics, radio communications, high performance analog and digital design or test and measurement automation.
