Export Controls Conference 2024

SAHR and International Trade Advisors
Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide SA
Monday 06 to Wednesday 08 May 2024

This annual event brings industry and Commonwealth staff together to discuss changes to export controls and cybersecurity requirements.

It is an opportunity for SMEs working in the defence industry to understand how the landscape is evolving in the space of export controls and cybersecurity. Whether your company will participate in AUKUS contracts or not, the legislative reforms will have a significant impact on the way you do business. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how.

Day 1– This day is basic training and can serve as a refresher for both industry and Commonwealth staff. Suitable for engineers, project managers, ITC, HR, and logistics staff.

Day 2– This day is about listening to industry experts and government representatives outline the coming legislative changes. For those that are limited in time, we have put all key presentations in the morning and you have the option to attend just the morning session. This day is suited to C-Suite, General Counsels, Export Controls Officers, Risk Professionals, and other decision makers within the organisation.

Day 3– This day focuses on cybersecurity and includes special breakout sessions on nuclear and space considerations. Suitable for all staff.

The Export Controls Training and Conference is an opportunity to:

• Ask experts on US, UK and AU export controls about how reforms may influence your existing commercial contracts.

• Learn how cybersecurity and export controls work together and how evolving standards will affect your ability to tender.

• Learn how primes and the Commonwealth expect you to be able to work with them in the very near future.

• Learn how to work with your Freight Forwarders and Customs Brokers on managing ITAR controlled freight.

• An opportunity to refresh your training on the ITAR, EAR and AU export controls to ensure you are keeping up with the many changes in progress.

• Learn how others are adjusting to changes in a cost-effective way and how to take advantage of opportunities available to companies that are agile during this time of change.

Our 6th annual conference is the best place to get an update on both U.S. and AU export controls, network with peers and improve your compliance program.
