BSides Adelaide 2025

BSides is an open platform to share ideas, insights, and develop relationships with others in the cyber security and technology community. BSides is inherently inclusive and has been called an ‘unconference’ – allowing a diverse set of people and views, with a strong focus on unearthing the joy of technology. BSides Adelaide will have a focus on hands-on practical experiences. We will create a series of villages, where participants can spend their time in the areas that most align to their passion, or experience a broad range of cyber security related themes. This varies from structured presentations to smaller break-out groups, through to workshops and capture the flag events; any medium that provides a direct connection between members of the cyber security community, across the entire spectrum of beginners to experts.

We loved BSides 2024. 2025 is back – this time, we’re at the Hilton, and providing all of the great villages, talent, and opportunities that you loved in 2024. Come with us and explore what you can expect from the wombats this year at Adelaide’s most informal, fun, and cutely-mascotted conference!

The Villages:

LockSport– hosted by CyberCX, lockpicking enthusiasts and physical security specialists will offer a place for participants to learn and practice lockpicking and other physical security techniques.

Flinders University Electronic Warfare– In the Flinders University you’ll discover the fascinating world of wireless systems security in our interactive village.

Adelaide Retro Computing & DadLan- Love retro gaming? Fancy trying out your favourite retro consoles and chatting about oldschool computing with likeminded friends? Adelaide Retro Computing & DadLan can’t be missed.

Hack The Box– Whether you’re a seasoned red teamer, a vigilant defender, or simply just eager to explore the cyber security space we will have something here for you.
